project selection magazine

  A magazine would be the best fit for me because i would rather write than act. The aspect of making a magazine seems more interesting than making a film. Some of the main factors that makes me want to do a magazine is that you don't have to worry about getting a scene perfect you just have to take pictures and write. The genre of the magazine will be most likely sports. Sports are everywhere you go and there's so much to talk about in the world of sports. There are thousands of different things you could talk about. I will work in a group to do the magazine because we could have different sections on sports like sports safety, nutrition, athletes, etc. The people in my group all have experience in sports, so it would fit us.

  A film would be cool to do because there are so many ways you can produce a film. The film could be a comedy, action, horror, mystery, etc. Some aspects of a film i might like would be that you could have a bunch of takes on one scene and you could improve by adding anything into that scene, like a line or a prop. Another aspect is after your done with the movie, and its good you would feel completed. Based on what we've learned in class a movie does sound like an interesting option. Some skills i posses that the film project might be good for me would be that i'm probably a good actor. I also could come up with some lines for the actors in the movie. The movie might be a challenge for me because i don't like being in front of a camera. Another challenge for me might be the lighting for the scenes.

 The magazine selection might be good for me because i like the aspect of pictures, information and ads. The magazine also seems to be easier to create than a film. The aspects of print journalism interests me by it just being pictures and words. Also what we have learned in class about making a magazine seems more interesting to me. The film would have editing, songs, lighting etc. I also don't like being in front of a camera, which makes me want to do the magazine over the film even more. Rather than the magazine being easier than the film, there are still some challenging parts for me, like finding pictures to put into the magazine.The magazine in the long run seems like it would be a lot of fun.
